The official inauguration of the Human Rights House will take place on December 3 at the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, as initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Human Rights House aims to serve as a specialized platform for supporting and strengthening human rights efforts, as well as educating the public about human rights in the country. This will include the establishment of a modern library containing international and national human rights documents, as well as scientific research, commentaries, and analytical reports. The opening ceremony is being organized by the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights in collaboration with the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi. The event coincides with two important dates: December 8th – Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and December 10th – International Human Rights Day. It will be attended by approximately 100 guests, including representatives from international and regional organizations focused on human rights protection and legal norms, as well as diplomats, government officials, experts, scientists, public figures, and media professionals.
