High Praise for Uzbekistan’s Efforts to Promote Decent Work

During the 113th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate, held a meeting with Beate Andrees, ILO Assistant Director-General. The focus of the meeting was on Uzbekistan’s implementation of the Decent Work Country Program for 2021-2025. Uzbekistan’s dedication to promoting the principles of decent work, ratifying important ILO conventions, and integrating international standards into national practices was highly commended. Both parties agreed to prioritize tasks outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals, such as reducing poverty, strengthening social protection, and improving the skills of national partners and state labor inspectors.
