Harbin 2025: Uzbekistan’s Athletes Ready for Competition

Today, China will hold the grand opening ceremony for the 9th Asian Winter Games, Harbin 2025.

Throughout the day, qualifying events will take place for ice hockey, curling, and short-track speed skating. 

In today’s short-track speed skating events, Uzbekistan’s Daniil Eibog will be competing. He will be in the same group as athletes from China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and Hong Kong in the 1500-meter race. 

In the 500-meter race, he will face competitors from Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, and Chinese Taipei. Similarly, in the 1000-meter event, he will compete against representatives from South Korea, Qatar, Chinese Taipei, and Vietnam. 

At the opening ceremony of the Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025, Uzbekistan’s ski mountaineering team members, Jasur Shamsiddinov and Feruza Bobokulova, will proudly carry the national flag. 

The Asian Games, which will run until February 14, will feature 64 medal events in 11 sports. Uzbekistan’s athletes will compete in six different disciplines. 

The opening ceremony of the Asian Winter Games is set to commence today at 20:00 Tashkent time.
