The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has embarked on a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan to attend the 10th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
At Astana International Airport, which has been named after Nursultan Nazarbayev, Hero-Arkadag was welcomed by representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and members of the Turkmen government delegation.
It is anticipated that the National Leader of the Turkmen people will also have talks with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during his stay in Astana.
In November 2021, Turkmenistan became an observer of the OTS and efforts are being made to join the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic States. Hero-Arkadag is a member of the Council of Elders of the OTS and is actively involved in the activities of this organization.
