Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, spoke at the Turkmen-German business forum and discussed the state of economic collaboration between Turkmenistan and Germany. Hero-Arkadag noted that Ashgabat welcomes and will continue to encourage the activities of German businesses in the Turkmen market. He praised the successful activities in Turkmenistan of the German companies such as «Siemens», «Daimler», «Claas», «MAN», «Rode» and «Schwarz», and several others.
In general, Berdimuhamedov indicated that bilateral economic cooperation is progressing steadily, showing positive growth. He pointed out that the mutual potential can be utilized more productively, particularly with the diversification of the economy of Turkmenistan, the widespread adoption of high-tech industries and the dynamic development of infrastructure.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed his belief that joint projects of large scale should be implemented to become the driving force of economic cooperation, as well as to attract new investments, create related industries, and modern services. He said that this would set the stage for a strategic Turkmen-German partnership in the economic, investment, and technological spheres.
