The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was bestowed the Badge of Honor of the Heads of State of Central Asia at the “Kasri Millat” Palace. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presented the award to the Hero-Arkadag in the presence of those gathered in a dignified atmosphere, which was met with applause.
The Chairman Halk Maslahaty expressed his gratitude for being given this prestigious award at the international events occurring in the capital of Tajikistan. He viewed this honor as a sign of respect for the Turkmen people, acknowledgment of Turkmenistan’s contribution to fostering friendly relations amongst the Central Asian states, and backing of the policy of neutrality implemented by the country, which is intended to ensure peace and security in the region.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people was assured that the decisions taken after the negotiations in Dushanbe will be a significant step in maintaining the friendly relations between the brotherly countries and peoples, as well as in preserving our unity.
