My sincere greetings to all of you at the opening of the International Movie Festival “Dawn of Arkadag” that is being held in the city of Arkadag with the participation of Central Asian nations. I am confident that this event will enhance the creative potential of its participants.
Turkmenistan is actively expanding the scope of its friendly relations with countries around the world in accordance with the principles of its policy of neutrality. Our country is hosting large-scale events that are designed to promote global peace and brotherhood, foster understanding between people, particularly those of neighboring countries, and encourage effective dialogue in the field of culture.
The city of Arkadag, which was created through the wisdom and foresight of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, is a great city of progress, prosperity, and friendship that is emphasized by the International Movie Festival “Dawn of Arkadag” that is taking place there with the participation of Central Asian countries.
The buildings of the city of Arkadag, which were constructed in accordance with the “Smart City” concept, are fitted with advanced technologies and innovations, and the achievements of the digital system have been implemented there. The city of Arkadag offers all the necessary conditions for hosting international festivals, concerts, and forums at a high level.
The blessed Turkmen land, which has been developing culture, art, and science since ancient times, is the home of such renowned Seljuk sultans as Chagry beg, Togrul beg, Alp Arslan, Malik sha, and Soltan Sanjar. Our national art and values, which were passed down from our illustrious ancestors, are being enriched and developed today. The inclusion of the name of Oguz han in the name of the “Türkmenfilm” Association is a testament to our great respect for our brave forebears and our glorious past. We are especially pleased that films created by the “Türkmenfilm” Association named after Oguz han have been successful at international movie festivals.
We are currently giving great importance to the development of the movie industry in our country, screening domestic films, organizing movie festivals, international exhibitions, and the participation of Turkmen specialists in movie festivals abroad.
The main purpose of the International Movie Festival “Dawn of Arkadag” that is being held in the city of Arkadag with the participation of Central Asian countries is to strengthen international cooperation in the field of cinematography and to introduce the city of Arkadag to the world community.
We are especially proud of the participation in this international event of famous movie directors, actors, and scholars from the states of Central Asia, as well as from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Turkish Republic, and the French Republic.
Dear compatriots! Dear friends! Cinema is a bridge of peace and friendship. Modern achievements in the field of cinematography call all nations to peace, promote rapprochement and solidarity. The power of art becomes a miracle that unites hearts.
I am sure that the events that will take place within the framework of the International Movie Festival “Dawn of Arkadag” with the participation of the states of Central Asia will further strengthen our cultural ties and will become a major event in the history of our friendly relations.
