The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with a few experts and legislators, participated in the virtual meetings of the standing committees of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. Erkin Gadoyev, Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms, was present for the Budgetary Control Commission session. During the meeting, the Commission discussed the laws passed by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Member States regarding the State budget for the upcoming year, as well as the draft laws on the financial aspects of the activities of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
Qutbiddin Burkhanov, Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security Issues, attended the Standing Commission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on Defense and Security Issues. The participants discussed proposals for improving the legal regulations for the suppression of illegal activities in the maritime area, as well as the work of the border services of the CIS Member States in counteracting terrorism.
At the end of the meetings, the commissions of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly completed their work for 2023 and decided to implement the work program and the action plan for 2024.
