The second major victory for Turkmenistan’s “Galkan” hockey team was achieved today at the international tournament held in Ashgabat. After their dominant performance in the first match against the team from Bahrain, winning 8-1, the team, led by Andrey Makarov and Meylis Kuliev, emerged victorious once again with a score of 15-1 against the “Oman Nationals” team from Oman.
The game started with a powerful shot from Dovlet Khydyrov in the first minute, followed by a wrist shot from Gurbanmyrat Tannyyev that doubled the lead just a minute later. Arslan Geldimyradov scored the third goal in the 8th minute, and Baymyrat Baymyradov added another goal in the final minute of the first period, leaving the score at 4-0 in favor of “Galkan” at the break.
In the second period, Begench Dovletmyradov scored a one-on-one goal, increasing the lead to 5-0.
At the start of the final period, the opposing team managed to score one goal. However, the “Galkan” team quickly took control and scored ten more goals in the remaining 18 minutes, setting a new tournament record with a final score of 15-1. The goals were scored in various ways and positions, including a notable one-on-one goal by Novruz Baykhanov. In the third period, Erkin Kakabaev, Pavel Barkovsky, and Novruz Baykhanov each scored two goals, while Perhat Atekaev, Dovrangeldi Bayjaev, Mukhammetyar Nuryev, and Ovezguly Esenov each scored one goal.
With this victory, the “Galkan” hockey team now has 6 points and is leading in Group “A”.
In another match in Group “B”, the Belarusian club “Volat” defeated the Turkish team “Team-Turkiye” 3-0 (1-0, 0-0, 2-0) at the small ice rink of the Winter Sports Complex. The goal scorers for the winning team were Sviatoslav Zasadsky (8th minute), Eduard Gryn (44th minute), and Arseniy Yankovskiy (60th minute).
