FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Championships to Take Place in New York

FIDE has declared that the upcoming World Rapid and Blitz Championships will be held in New York from December 26 to 31 of this year. The schedule includes the rapid championships on December 26-28 and the blitz championships on December 30 and 31. It is worth mentioning that the previous Rapid and Blitz World Championships took place in Samarkand in December 2023. Magnus Carlsen from Norway was the winner of the men’s rapid and blitz championships, while Anastasia Bodnaruk (rapid) and Valentina Gunina (blitz) from Russia claimed the women’s titles. The third conference on intellectual property of the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative was successfully held in Beijing, with the participation of a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Justice Muzraf Ikramov. The conference, organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), focused on strengthening regional cooperation in intellectual property and exploring ways to promote innovation and creativity through financial opportunities.
