President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the polytechnic in Navbahor district of Navoi region.

One of the main concerns in the country is employment. Currently, there are 25 professional education institutions in Navoi region, with a total of 12,000 students. These institutions are staffed with qualified teachers and 234 industrial training masters.

Polytechnic No. 2 has 41 classrooms, a laboratory, an assembly hall, a sports hall for 350 people, a dormitory for 100 people, and a canteen. They offer daytime, correspondence, evening, and dual form training for graduates and citizens of all ages.

Large industrial enterprises in the region play a crucial role in training specialists. For example, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company trains welders and turners, Navoiazot JSC trains chemists and laboratory assistants, and Navoi Thermal Power Plant trains electrical fitters. These enterprises have also opened branches in the technical school, where students can learn a profession while earning a wage for their work.

The educational process also involves the mahallas, unemployed citizens, people with insufficient qualifications, and women looking for work. These individuals are often hired by enterprises if they have mastered their profession well.

The President also spoke with women studying at the technical school.

“I am pleased to see your confidence and determination. Learn a profession and find your place in life. We will support you in finding happiness through work,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

In addition, there are dual and short-term training courses organized in collaboration with textile enterprises Mengi Textile Group and Navbahor Qorajon. After acquiring the necessary skills, women are employed in sewing workshops.

In the carpentry workshop, students make doors, tables, and chairs that are in high demand in the region. They work and study simultaneously, supporting their families.

Moreover, training courses for the production of traditional handicrafts have been organized for people with disabilities.

Training centers have also been established in the departments of veterinary medicine and livestock farming to improve the skills of specialists.

It is worth noting that cooperation agreements have been signed between education institutions in Navoi region and 51 enterprises. Since the beginning of the year, over a thousand unemployed citizens have received training.
