In Navoi, a city known for its active and innovative work, one of its newest districts is Farovon. This district is home to over 15,000 people living in more than 50 apartment buildings. The district boasts a variety of trade and service facilities, theaters, hotels, kindergartens, and schools.

The Head of State recently visited general education school No. 22 located in this district.

School education has become a nationwide movement in the country, with the education sector identified as a top priority in the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy.

The school, which currently has approximately 1,800 students, was constructed and opened last year. All classrooms, laboratories, computer science and foreign language classrooms, a gym, a football field, and a canteen are equipped with modern facilities. The library holds 3,000 books and is connected to the electronic system of the National Library named after Alisher Navoi.

The Head of State has set a goal to improve the quality of education in general education schools to be on par with Presidential and specialized schools. To achieve this, 104 teachers were selected competitively for the school. The training programs incorporate the best practices from top schools.

The school also places a strong emphasis on teaching young people at least two foreign languages and one modern profession. To support this, the school has established over ten clubs in areas such as applied arts, hotel services, drawing, photography, IT, and robotics.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, a military-patriotic group has been formed. The group holds meetings to discuss the bravery of great commanders like Amir Temur and Jaloliddin Manguberdy. Regular patriotic events and sports competitions are also organized.

“Being educated and having a profession is important, but it is equally important to have a strong sense of patriotism towards your homeland. This will make you even stronger,” the President emphasized.

The school also has an Iqtidor Club, where students can study music, theater, and art.

The President took the time to learn about the school’s activities and speak with teachers and students.

“My greatest concern and goal is the education of young people. To achieve the goals we have set for ourselves, we need educated youth. We are striving to create all the necessary conditions for this. You should value your time, make use of all opportunities, and continue to study. The knowledge you gain and the skills you acquire will become your wings for the future,” the President encouraged the students.

The educational institution also has a Safe School system in place, with a Face ID system installed at the entrance and solar panels on the premises.
