DOMiNO Ventures invests in five Uzbek startups

Dutch-based early-stage venture capital fund DOMiNO Ventures has recently established a partnership with IT Park, as evidenced by a signed Memorandum of Understanding. As part of this agreement, DOMiNO Ventures intends to contribute to the development of Uzbekistan’s innovation ecosystem this year, in collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan. Representatives of the fund have emphasized the vast opportunities within Uzbekistan’s rapidly growing technology sector, making it an appealing market for investment. They have also expressed their plans to invest in five technology startups in Uzbekistan by 2024 and provide active support to help them expand into international markets, strengthen their presence in the global innovation landscape, and offer various programs for their project development. With a presence in eight countries and a team based in Istanbul, Turkey, DOMiNO Ventures has over 50 global and local partners. Through its expansion strategy, the fund’s team actively participates in various events, particularly in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. In the last two quarters alone, DOMiNO Ventures has evaluated and considered 1,000 startups from the region, showcasing its dedication to identifying and supporting promising entrepreneurs.
