On February 3, the President of Uzbekistan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, led a meeting to address matters related to strengthening the country’s defense capabilities. The Minister of Defense presented a report on the progress made in enhancing combat readiness, training, and equipping military units with modern weapons. Additionally, the meeting focused on improving the activities of the Uzbekistan Defense Industry Agency. The importance of continuing efforts to strengthen the army’s combat potential, moral-psychological well-being, and modernization of weapons and equipment was emphasized by the country’s leadership. It was also noted that there is a need to increase combat and operational training, as well as improve professional training for officer personnel and engineering and technical staff of military enterprises. As a result of the meeting, the Head of state issued directives for the further development of the Armed Forces and strengthening of the country’s defense capabilities.
