On April 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was introduced to the presentation of transportation and building projects. Thanks to an active foreign policy, Uzbekistan’s international relations are expanding. Tashkent is becoming a hub for business and tourism, so special attention is being given to developing transport infrastructure. In recent years, the modernization of Tashkent International Airport, named after Islam Karimov, has improved passenger conditions. Services have been expanded, and the number of check-in counters and boarding gates has increased. After a three-year reconstruction, the departure terminal building has increased from 56,000 to 80,000 square meters. The departure terminal is currently under reconstruction in three stages, which will result in increased capabilities for registration, customs control, and security. The capacity will increase from 1.2 thousand to 2.4 thousand passengers per hour. There are also plans for a new cargo terminal at Tashkent International Airport, which will increase the handling capacity to 300 tons per day. As we know, on August 29, 2022, the foundation stone was laid for the town of Al-Khwarizmi in the city of Urgench. This town will include multi-story buildings, schools, kindergartens, sports and cultural centers, parks, a technology park, and other complexes. In particular, Al-Khwarizmi University will be built in the center of the town. According to the project, the university will have faculties of mathematics and natural sciences, computer science, and engineering, with a capacity of 4,000 students. There will also be a specialized school for gifted children, creating an educational cluster that integrates education, science, and production. During the presentation, ideas were exchanged on how to further enhance the university’s concept, including the importance of modern laboratories for youth research, commercializing start-up projects, and opening areas in digital technologies and e-sports. To honor the great scientist Abu Rayhan Beruni, a museum is planned in the center of the Beruni district in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The two-story building will be equipped with the latest museum technology, and interactive methods will be used for the exhibitions. A grand monument of Beruni will also be installed in front of the museum. Several options for project implementation were discussed during the presentation, and responsible individuals were given instructions to finalize the projects and improve the quality of construction and service.
