The Department of Preschool and School Education in Bukhara region welcomed representatives from the education department of Gyeongbuk city in the Republic of Korea. Discussions were held regarding the teaching of Korean language in Bukhara schools, the facilities available for students, and the progress achieved. It was highlighted that students and teachers actively participate in competitions and projects organized in collaboration with Korea. Plans were made to further enhance collaboration with schools in Gyeongbuk city in 2024. As part of a Memorandum of Cooperation signed with the Education Department of Gyeongbuk city, a group of teachers and students from this city are currently visiting Bukhara. The guests also visited specialized state secondary school No. 42, which offers Korean language classes starting from third grade. The school has shown remarkable progress in language proficiency and has been recognized as an “Exemplary School for Teaching the Korean Language” by the Education Center of the Republic of Korea at the Embassy in Uzbekistan. The guests also took part in “Lessons of National Culture” and were introduced to Uzbek national attire, customs, traditions, songs, and dances.
