A project by Shandong Swan Cotton Industrial Machinery Stock, a Chinese company, has commenced in Fergana. This project involves the assembly of cotton-picking machines, establishment of a service center for technical support, and the creation of a training center for machine operators. The event marking the launch of the project was attended by representatives from the company’s leadership, district leaders, and farmers from Fergana and neighboring regions.
The growing interest in cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has contributed to the region’s increasing investment attractiveness. Currently, there are 157 enterprises in Fergana that have Chinese investment. During the event, it was announced that cotton harvesting machines can be purchased on a leasing basis with a 20% down payment, and cotton-textile clusters and farmers will receive a 15% subsidy.
