Budapest hosted the 8th round of the 45th World Chess Olympiad.
As part of this round, the Uzbekistan team competed against the Serbian team.
Nodirbek Yokubboyev, Javokhir Sindorov, and Shamsiddin Vokhidov all drew their matches. However, Nodirbek Abdusattorov’s win secured a valuable point for the Uzbekistan team.
As a result, the Uzbekistan national team moved up to 2nd place with a total of 14 points.
Unfortunately, the women’s team of Uzbekistan did not fare as well and lost to the U.S. chess players.
