The City of Music, Vienna, is calling all to share its exquisite ambience after two years of absence due to the pandemic. In the era of Viennese Classicism, the capital was enthused by renowned composers such as Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, who created some of the most renowned pieces of music.
The Austrian capital is also known as the global capital of dance and Viennese ball custom. On New Year’s Day, people around the world celebrate with the iconic Blue Danube Waltz and the Strauss family’s signature tunes. Thanks to their music, and the unique atmosphere of Vienna, Viennese Balls held overseas have become major international events.
In Ashgabat, the visitors will get to hear the traditional call for the crowd to start dancing at the yearly Opera Ball in Vienna: “Alles Walzer!”. Vienna shares its energetic spirit of joy, peace and global understanding with the world through its traditional Viennese Balls held abroad. The Viennese Ball in Ashgabat is one of the most extravagant of its kind, indicating pleasure, harmony and international unity.
I’m sending my best wishes to the organisers for a successful event and to all guests for a truly remarkable evening as they savor the unique atmosphere of Vienna and the enchantment of the Viennese Waltz.
Michael Ludwig,
Mayor and Governor of Vienna.
