Belarus to Host Uzbekistan Culture Days

The Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, held a meeting with a delegation led by the Ambassador of Belarus to Uzbekistan, Leonid Marinich. The two sides acknowledged the progress of their cooperation in recent years, particularly in the fields of culture and art. They discussed plans for the participation of Uzbekistan in the SCO Minister of Culture meeting in 2024, the organization of Uzbekistan Culture Days in Belarus in 2025, the signing of a cooperation program for 2024-2026 in culture, collaboration in the film industry, and joint film projects. Additionally, they talked about the participation of representatives from both countries in international cultural events, as well as the regular organization of international conferences, workshops, festivals, and symposiums. They also discussed the establishment of touring exchanges between theaters and cooperation in education. The Uzbek side extended a warm invitation to talented artists from Belarus to participate in the upcoming Second International Dance Festival “Lazgi,” the International Forum of Maqom Art, and the International Music Festival “Sharq Taronalari,” which are expected to be vibrant and inclusive celebrations of global culture.
