The Minister of Education of Poland, Barbara Nowacka, currently visiting Uzbekistan, met with the Minister of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan, Hilola Umarova.
Topics such as STEM education, digitalization and information technology in education, joint educational projects, student vocational training, and cooperation between pedagogical universities were discussed by the two parties.

As an honorary guest, Bianka Siwińska, President & CEO of the Perspektywy Education Foundation, was also present at the meeting.
The parties agreed to collaborate on international projects that aim to promote gender equality and empower women in the sector, particularly within the global TechWomen network.

“Uzbekistan is a key partner for us in the region,” stated Barbara Nowacka. “We are highly interested in the education reforms being implemented in the country’s higher educational institutions in the field of pedagogy.”
This marks the first cooperation between Poland and Uzbekistan in the field of preschool and school education.
