Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim paid a visit to the Mir Arab Higher Madrasah, which was restored under the guidance of the country’s President. During his trip to Bukhara, the President of Uzbekistan instructed for the madrasah to regain its historical status, resulting in the construction of a new building near the Ark Complex. The higher madrasah, with a capacity of 200 students, offers courses in the Quran, hadith, theological studies, and foreign languages. It also provides facilities such as classrooms, assembly and sports halls, a dormitory, and a service house.
The visit was documented by A. Buriyev, with photos taken by N. Khaydarov and T. Istatov for UzA.
