Today, a delegation from Anadolu Agency, one of the leading news agencies in the world, visited the Uzbekistan National News Agency. The delegation included Dr. İsmail Çağlar, member of the Executive Board, Oguz Karakaş, Project Management Coordinator, and Erman Yuksel, Marketing and Business Development Director. During the visit, the guests were briefed on the progress in Uzbekistan’s media landscape and the growing strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, as well as the strengthening ties between member countries of the Organization of Turkic States. The importance of exchanging accurate and reliable information in this process was emphasized.
Mr. Abdusaid Kuchimov, Director General of UzA, expressed his pleasure in hosting his Turkish colleagues and mentioned the signing of a memorandum between UzA and Anadolu during the recent meeting of the leaders of the two countries.
The delegation also highlighted the global reach of Anadolu Agency, with its website offering news in 13 languages. They also mentioned the Alliance of Turkic News Agencies, which was formed at a meeting in Istanbul last year, with representatives from UzA, Anadolu, QazContent, Azertac, and Kabar signing a Joint Declaration.
Mr. Erman Yuksel, Marketing and Business Development Director, expressed his delight in visiting Uzbekistan and mentioned that Anadolu Agency, which has been in operation for 104 years, has a strong presence with hundreds of journalists and photojournalists in 140 offices across 39 countries.
During the meeting, the agenda for the next Alliance meeting, scheduled for June 21-23, was discussed, and the proposal for military journalism training, set for July 1-12, was supported.
