Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan

On June 20, 2024, the Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova received credentials from Ruslan Stoyanov, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s instruction.

The speaker of the national Parliament congratulated Stoyanov on his new role and expressed good wishes for the strengthening of the friendly relations between the two countries.

Stoyanov conveyed warm greetings from the leadership of Bulgaria to the President of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people.

During the meeting, Stoyanov was briefed on Turkmenistan’s foreign policy strategy and domestic policies, as well as the activities of the Mejlis in supporting large-scale reforms. The potential for cooperation between legislative bodies was also discussed.

The two sides acknowledged the potential for cooperation in various areas, particularly in trade and economics, and also discussed opportunities for collaboration in education, science, and culture.

Stoyanov expressed his commitment to promoting fruitful dialogue between the two countries and contributing to its development in his new role.
