On June 16, 2025, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Turkmenistan, Alenka Suhadolnik, presented her credentials to D. Gulmanova, Chairperson of the Mejlis, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s instructions.
Representing the head of state, the head of the national parliament congratulated the diplomat on his new role and wished him success in strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
In response, the Ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings from the leadership of the Republic of Slovenia to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as well wishes for the prosperity of Turkmenistan and its people.
During the meeting, the diplomat was briefed on Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policies, which are successfully implemented under the guidance of the country’s President. It was emphasized that building beneficial partnerships with countries around the world, particularly in Europe, is a key priority of Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy strategy.
The importance of strengthening dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Slovenia in various areas was also highlighted during the conversation.
