From July 18-22 this year, Uzbekistan will be hosting the Kyrgyzstan Culture Days.
The shared language, traditions, and customs between the Uzbek and Kyrgyz peoples are crucial in strengthening their bonds of brotherhood and friendship. Thanks to the efforts of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, relations with foreign countries, especially those in the Turkic world and specifically Kyrgyzstan, have entered a new stage of development in the past seven to eight years.
Representatives from both countries’ film, theater, fine and applied arts, photography, media, and literary circles have had the opportunity to collaborate on various joint creative projects, conferences, and forums.
The program of events taking place in Uzbekistan over five days is notable for its scale and diversity, including concerts featuring both Uzbek and Kyrgyz artists, meetings of creatives from both countries at the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, and an official dialogue at the Ministry of Culture. Additionally, the Kyrgyz Cinema Days will be inaugurated, and an exhibition and concert titled “Kyrgyz Ayyly” will be held on Blue Domes Boulevard in Tashkent.
As part of the Culture Days, the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan will also host a concert honoring the work of renowned composer, teacher, and musician, People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic and Rector of the National Conservatory named after K. Moldobasanov, Muratbek Begaliev.
The Uzbek State Musical Theater named after Mukimi will be presenting the play “Milky Way” to audiences in Uzbekistan.
Bukhara will also be hosting the Kyrgyzstan Culture Days, with planned concerts at the Bukhara region’s youth center.
It’s worth noting that artists from the fraternal country will have the opportunity to explore the sights of Tashkent, including the Hazrati Imam complex, the State Museum of Temurids History, the State Museum of Applied Arts and History of Crafts, and experience the historical sites of Bukhara and witness the radical reforms being implemented. These cultural and educational events serve as a shining example of the eternal friendship between the two countries and their people, who are closely connected to one another.
