The 2nd Games of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which includes competitions in shooting, athletics, and futsal, are being held in Uruchcha, a district of Minsk. According to the Regulations, teams in futsal competitions composed of athletes under 19 years of age will compete in a round-robin system. On the second day, two matches took place: the Kyrgyzstan team beat the Azerbaijani athletes 5:2 and gained three points in the standings, while the previous day they had lost to the Russians 0:3. In the second game, the Uzbekistan team faced the Russian athletes. Fortunately, our team was able to prevent the Russians, who are considered one of the strongest teams in the world, from continuing their winning streak. The match was highly intense, and the sides were equal in the end with a score of 3:3. Our young footballers managed to level the score just 17 seconds before the final whistle. The Belarusian team had responded to the Azerbaijani team’s one goal with seven goals the day before. Gayrat Khonnazarov, photos by Yoqubjon Meliboyev, UzA. Minsk, Belarus.
